Overview

Eagle Ray, Inc. is looking for a Security Specialist - Quality Assurance Support to support NGA’s SI Personnel Security Division (SISP).  SISP delivers agile and responsive customer service through a full-range of personnel security services to ensure a NGA trussed workforce for the protection of national security equities.


The individual shall provide a review of an average of 500 background investigations annually.

Responsibilities

  • Review the specified number of investigation reports for compliance with Federal Investigative Standards and applicable implementation plans.
  • Coordinate with C/SISPI and C/SISPA on issues identified in record audit.
    • Document status of all issues, to include resolution, in the Quality Audit Report Tracker (QART).
  • Accurately detail information in the QART system.
  • Create and deliver metrics reports for each Investigative Service Provider on a monthly basis, or as requested by the government.

Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-6 years of experience, with at least 2 years within the DoD/IC, and 3 year of auditing experience assessing background investigation quality, or equivalent experience
  • Desired trainings:
    • ICD 704 Personnel Security Course by NCSC,
    • Intro to Personnel Security Adjudication,
    • Intro to National Security Adjudication,
    • JPAS.

Additional Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Significant experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (e.g., personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations; classification management; operational security; security education, etc.) based on the specific needs of the task. 
  • Experience may be broad based, crossing multiple markets (e.g., government, industry) and may also include relevant and associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices. 
  • Experience directing the activities of security specialists as necessary on activities related to the specified security field or discipline.
  • Must obtain DoD Security Fundamentals Professional Certification within 1 year of service.
  • Clear and concise writing skills.
  • Positive, engaging communications skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills to ensure meeting required timelines and FIS quality standards.
