Overview

The position of Process Engineer is responsible for the effective facilitation, documentation, and continuous improvement of the processes, information, and events for our customers. The Process Engineer works closely with our customers, Government, and Contractor Team, to define tasking and priorities leading to efficiencies and improved work flows across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document related process and programmatic artifacts, including plans, procedures, work instructions, tools, templates, etc.
  • Assist process owners in effectively rolling out new or modified processes, including communication plans, training sessions and incorporating feedback.
  • Observe actual work activities in comparison to established processes. Recommend process improvements, clarifications, or modification to drive consistently outstanding customer performance.
  • Provide general program and organization management support, including Project Management Office support, organizational planning and development, and management mentoring and training.
  • Establish a leadership or SME role in the organization and a professional relationship as a neutral, trusted advisor to the customer.
  • Apply process improvement expertise and methodologies to identify, implement and enhance enterprise metrics collection and apply root cause analysis to improve the effectiveness and efficiency Provide process definition support for all Organizational Management Framework (OMF) processes
  • Document and make recommendations for improvements to processes
  • Apply critical thinking skills, and professional judgment to successfully provide effective process improvement plans
  • Must be willing to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • Specific areas of focus for process improvement for the ZUSE contract include:
  • Acquisition Planning
  • Application Portfolio Management
  • Establishing and Managing Licensing contracts
  • Asset Management
  • Improvements that focus on enhance efficiency and quality across the program

Qualifications

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required for successful performance of the activities associated with this position:

  • 11-15 years of specialized experience with Process Improvement
  • NRO domain knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics - or equivalent work experience.
  • Expertise in effective process development and consultation
  • Effective information-gathering, through meeting facilitation, one-on-one interactions and/or observations
  • Coordination and consensus building between organizations and individuals participating in or impacted by the business processes
  • Customer-centered approach to all interactions required in support of position activities
  • Strong analysis and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  1. IT and Managed Service Provider Acquisition;
  2. Commercial hardware and software Acquisition and Licensing Processes;
  3. Supply Chain Management;
  4. Property Manuals and Processes;
  5. Service Level Agreements.
