Support the ZUSE Program by providing a wide range of Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) tasks to the Communications Systems Directorate (COMM) of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). Tasks include reviewing and editing contract deliverables, establishing and maintaining reporting templates.


  • Provide technical documentation services to include graphics arts and design support.
  • Develop, write, and support technical staff in the preparation of full acquisition lifecycle documentation to include Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Plans, SOW’s Task Orders and other required solicitation/contract artifacts.
  • Support the generation of Request for Proposals, Engineering Change Proposals, and Statement of Work modifications.
  • Review and edit as necessary reports and deliverables



  • Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to pass CI Poly
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or mathematics - or equivalent work experience.
  • Six (6) to ten (10) years of SETA technical writing and editing support.
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office Products, particularly MS word.
  • Experience developing and working with templates.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a very fast paced environment on multiple tasks.
  • Must be pro-active and creative when problem solving.
  • Experience and full understanding of IT acquisition and Lifecycle work products.
  • Experience reviewing and editing IT acquisition and Lifecycle work products from beginning to end.
  • Ability to work as a team member or independently as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize work and work with all levels of management.



Experience with a variety of writing styles.

Advanced degree or certifications in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or mathematics is desired.

Desired experience in DoD and IC, specifically the COMM Directorate of the NRO.

Familiar with:

  1. IT and Managed Service Provider Acquisition;
  2. Commercial hardware and software Acquisition and Licensing Processes;
  3. Supply Chain Management;
  4. Property Manuals and Processes;
  5. Service Level Agreements.
