Responsibilities

The required experience includes providing advice in the development and maintenance of data triggers, models and risk assessment scores based on insider threat detection requirements.   Key analyst activities include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Provide empirical research and analysis to develop host audit threat trigger rule sets for event data collection and storage;
  • Support analyst testing and refining of trigger rule sets based on operational context and lessons learned;
  • Develop threat risk indices and risk assessment reports based on baseline analysis;
  • Provides advise in designing and implementing complex behavioral data models;
  • Support all phases of threat data analysis by providing behavioral data consultation, research and training services.

Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI Clearance;
  • Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD), accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA);
  • 7-10 years experience, or equivalent, specific experience with national security issues, a plus;
  • Posses a full, current and unrestricted license to practice Psychology in the US, including territories, or be duly qualified licensed mental health provider and must maintain Professional License through CEUs.
  • Additional Essential Knowledge & Skills:
    • Effective interviewing, writing and customer service skills;
    • Skilled in providing psychological consultation and in conducting direct/indirect assessments;
    • Completely administers and interprets a wide-range of psychological tests;
    • Completes requisite documentation in timely manner, consistent with clinical and NGA standards;
    • Performs clinical consultation functions at expert level in all or most of the following areas: personnel security, insider threat, counterintelligence, law enforcement, suicide and violence risk assessments, special assignment selection and responds to agency-wide need regarding psychological services subject matter expertise;
    • Produces timely, high-quality reports that include useful recommendations;
    • engages in training, management consultation and liaison with NGA in the DC Metro Area and at other NGA sites throughout the country and world, traveling according to mission requirements;
    • Delivers information and technical trainings, briefings and workshops tailored to need of audience;
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills and operates effectively within a team environment.
