Responsibilities

  • Provide operational-level technical and editorial assistance and advisory services, inclusive of administrative and technical policies, procedures, and controls. 
  • Apply editorial principles and techniques of information communication, and provide training and assistance in these areas to government personnel as needed. 
  • Familiar with various security concepts and policies, and must be able to review and apply applicable customer standards, concepts, and policies as required. 
  • Apply highly-developed writing and editing skills and be able to rewrite material to fit defined document templates and standards as required. 
  • Work collaboratively with senior and junior level technical staff to produce quality documents for delivery to a variety of senior level staff and customers. 
  •  Review and revise, as necessary, internally and externally developed documentation for conformity to applicable customer standards.  
  • Review work for accuracy, quality, format, and content.
  • Employ the utmost discretion to protect information not-yet-released and all sensitive personnel information and/or actions.
  • Review and edit technical and operational briefings to ensure proper formatting and consistency.

Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI Clearance;
  • Bachelors Degree;
  • 3-6 years experience, or equivalent, including 2 years within DOD/IC;
  • Additional Knowledge and Skills:
    • Significant experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (e.g., personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations; classification management; operational security; security education, etc.) based on the specific needs of the task. 
    • Experience may be broad based, crossing multiple markets (e.g., government, industry) and may also include relevant and associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices. 
    • Experience directing the activities of security specialists as necessary on activities related to the specified field or discipline.
  • Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification within 1 year of service start date; currently certified is a plus.
