Responsibilities

  • Provide operational, technical assistance and advisory services inclusive of administrative technical office policies, procedures and controls. 
  • Initiate, coordinate and track internally and externally derived tasking and/or action items/assignments/correspondence.
  • Ensure the utmost discretion is used to protect information not-yet-released and all sensitive personnel information and/or actions.
  • Prepare and brief incoming employees to the directorate; update and maintain emergency recall rosters; process logistical requests (e.g. pagers, cell phones, supplies, etc.); trouble shoot time sensitive issues, as required.
  • Provide assistance to support funding/budget issues.
  • Process travel plans, schedules and itineraries.
  • Escort visitors and maintenance personnel in specialized areas.
  • Attend weekly organization staff and working group meetings; prepare and distribute minutes within 24 hours

Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI Clearance;
  • Bachelors Degree;
  • 7+ years experience, or equivalent, including 3+ years within DOD/IC;
  • Additional Knowledge and Skills:
    • Extensive experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (e.g., personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations; classification management; operational security; security education, etc.) based on the specific needs of the task. 
    • Experience may be broad based, crossing multiple markets (e.g., government, industry) and may also include relevant and associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices. 
    • Directs the activities of specialists or other staff as necessary related to the specified security field or security discipline.
  • Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification within 1 year of service start date; currently certified is a plus.
