Conduct defensive CI activities in support of the NGA mission.  Conduct damage assessments in addition to other defense CI activities.  Coordinate with senior NGA leaders and other IC agencies to produce a product for senior IC leadership review.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily research to gather, assimilate, evaluate and interpret information concerning intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats and alert the government to any imminent threats.
  • Provide daily CI analyses, advise, technical expertise and support for varies tasks for selected parties within NGA, the DoD, and the Intelligence Community.
  • Assimilate, evaluate and interpret all-source information related to NGA from an operational security perspective to include the detection and assessment of anomalous activities.
  • Provide analytical forecasts of foreign intelligence, terrorism and espionage threats as well as provide annual CI threat analyses of those threats.
  • Provide CI assessments of proposed international agreement and damage assessments to disclose findings.
  • Liaise with Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community, and appropriate law enforcement entities to remain abreast of current CI trends and issues and facilitate information sharing across the IC
  • Prepare and documents all threats including tailored information for travelers for possible briefs to internal and external audiences at the strategic, operational and tactical levels.
  • Interview NGA personnel and prepare accurate operational reports and summaries from those interviews.
  • Provide a formal report of findings and recommendations for all unauthorized disclosures involving the known or suspected loss of classified information by working closely with the Intelligence Community to share information.

Qualifications

Required

 

  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in National Intelligence Studies, Law Enforcement, History, Analysis/Research, Journalism, Political Science, Library Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or the equivalent combination of education, CI, technical certifications or training.
  • 11 years of CI experience.  
  • Mandatory Travel = 25%
  • CI experience to include conducting investigations, inquiries, collections, operations, analysis, briefings, debriefings, training and awareness.
  • Strong research, critical thinking and analytic skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong listening and recognition skills.
  • Understanding of mission urgency.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, production, leadership and followership skills.
  • Graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy.

 

Desired

 

  • Master’s degree in the above identified areas of study or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
