Investigates suspected instances of waste, fraud and abuse; data spills; and, network penetrations of the customer’s information systems.  Investigates and eradicates computer viruses and malicious code.  Provide computer incident and violation response support, and cyber security awareness and training.  Participates in technical meetings and working groups to address issues related to computer security, protection against malware and other vulnerabilities.  Assist in the development and delivery of malware security awareness products and briefings.  Collaborate with the customer, team members, computer security investigators, forensic analysts, and other internal and external organizations.   

Responsibilities

  • Prepare IT security plans through the use of current regulations and facilitates the implementation of governing computer security policies. 
  • Establish and perform computer security functions by maintaining the information system security posture for customer. 
  • Identifies risks to computer systems and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Ensure that antivirus and other system security patches are applied and checked on a regular basis.
  • Reviews computer system certification documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Participate in technical meetings and working groups to address issues related to computer security and vulnerabilities.
  • Facilitates the certification and accreditation (C&A) process by working through stakeholders to meet compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's or equivalent
  • Min. 11 yrs. exp., with more than 5 yrs. in the intelligence community focused on IC experience.
  • Must be in full compliance with DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Experience with analytical problem solving and familiar with conducting security investigation and operations relating to suspected incidents.
  • In-depth working knowledge in DoD intelligence regulations and familiar with intelligence oversight principles.
  • Superior writing and briefing skills and publish finished analysis.
  • Possess a level of knowledge and experience with information technology, information systems and other technical disciplines to be able to successfully complete all duties and responsibilities.
  • DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual # 3305.13M within 1 year of service start date.
