Provides security expertise, guidance, consultation, facilitation, and leadership in all security related functions pertaining to:  personnel security; industrial and physical security; computer investigation and awareness; security operations; and other security business. 

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a security team comprised of Government and Contractor personnel to ensure on-time closure of personnel and program security tasking.
  • Primary focus is site assessments and annual security visits, to include:
    • Conduct site assessments in support of OSP equipment installations at various locations, to include:
      • Prepare and transport equipment.
      • Develop a Transportation Plan.
      • Conduct visual inspections of SCIFs to ensure they meet ICD 705 standards.
      • Ensure processes comply with ICD 503 standards. 
    • Conduct annual site visits, to include:
      • Conduct visual inspections of SCIFs to ensure they meet ICD 705 standards.
      • Ensure processes comply with ICD 503 standards. 
    • Providing support to new site installations and site decommissioning activities, such as:
      • Coordinate the initiation of paperwork for facility accreditation.
      • Coordinate personnel security matters.
      • Facilitate credential issuance for co-use agreements.
  • Execute document management processes/procedures, classification management, proper classification marking, wrapping classified for transport, couriering of classified, and destruction of classified material.
  • Assist and backfill personnel security functions, as necessary to meet tasking deadlines. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Adjudicating eligibility review of nominations.
    • Conducting program indoctrinations, debriefings, and re-indoctrinations.
    • Investigate security violations, infractions, or other program security concerns.

Qualifications

Required:

  • TS/SCI
  • Bachelors or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-6 yrs., includes >2 yrs. within DoD/IC.
  • General knowledge of security practices with emphasis in personnel, physical and/or industrial security.
  • Experience may be broad based, crossing multiple markets (e.g., government, industry) and may also include relevant and associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices. 
  • Ability to work independently and closely with senior specialists or task leads.
  • Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual # 3305.13M within 1 year of service start date.
